The body of the letter reads, " Dear Editor, I am sending you herewith the release of an article that I feel will be of interest to the American people, and I do hope that you may find space to publish same. The subject matter deals with the possible solution of a problem that is most vital in the interest of the Negro. With very best wishes, Yours truly, Marcus Garvey."
