To Heal and to Teach: Black Hospitals in Kansas City (Rescheduled)

Produced by Kevin Wilmott, Separate to Equal chronicles the history of African American healthcare in Kansas City. Following the screening, Wilmott, Randal Jelks, Tanya Hart and Deborah Dandridge will host a panel discussion about the history of Perry Sanitarium, Douglass Hospital and Wheatley-Provident to name a few early hospitals.

This program addresses the ASALH annual theme of "At the Crossroads of Freedom and Equality." There will also be a display of the collection housed at the Black Archives.
