The Missouri Humanities Council (MHC) has awarded a grant of $8,000.00 to the Black Archives of Mid-America (Black Archives) in support of the project, “Re-Visioning the Kansas City Narrative: Teaching African American History in the Central Plains Teacher’s Institute,” June 20-21, 2012. The MHC is the only state-wide agency in Missouri devoted exclusively to humanities education for citizens of all ages. It has served as a state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities since 1974.
The Black Archives of Mid-America in Kansas City is soliciting proposals from a qualified firm for Exhibit Design Services for their facility at 1722 E. 17th Terrace (John “Buck” O’ Neil Way) located in the historical jazz district at 18th and Vine.
